Hello, my name is Samantha Tempest and welcome to The Pretty Cake Company.
Many years ago, I started my business from my humble kitchen table. My passion for home baking dates back to my childhood, where I exhibited a natural talent for creative baking. Initially, my career path led me into clinical research, but upon the arrival of my first daughter, I made the choice to prioritise being a full-time mother.
A significant turning point occurred when I created a fairy tale castle cake (complete with marshmallow turrets!) for my daughter’s third birthday in 2003. Witnessing her sheer delight, sparked a journey of experimentation and growth, and over the following five years I enhanced my skills and expanded my portfolio.
In 2008, I proudly launched The Pretty Cake Company. What began as a general celebration cake venture, has since evolved into a renowned bespoke luxury wedding cake business, specializing in creating beautiful edible works of art. I collaborate closely with many esteemed wedding venues and respected professionals in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, and I am also thrilled to won many awards over the years. My creations have also been showcased in various bridal and social media publications all over the world.
Operating from my home-based cake studio in West Oxfordshire, I welcome my couples for consultations, where the magic truly unfolds. I take great joy in collaborating with couples to bring their dream wedding cakes to life, ensuring each wedding cake blends seamlessly with their vision and the ambience of their special day.
